"Dentistry in Russia"

September 4-19, 2010--Tentative

Itinerary

(Subject to Change)

This exceptional tour is designed especially for American dentists and other dental professionals interested in learning about dental practices in today's Russia—and possibly contributing to their Russian colleagues’ knowledge of current "best practices."

The tour is open to anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of today's Russia.

The group will visit at least one dental practice in Vladimir and one in the nearby ancient city of Murom.  The Vladimir Department of Public Health and its Murom counterpart will organize a meeting with Russian dentists at which the American dentists will have the opportunity to make (brief) presentations on "best practices" in American dentistry -- with a view to "what is realistically possible" in today's Russia.

With input from Russian dentists, we will discuss what it will be best to present in advance of the trip.

Those involved in the presentations should consult their tax advisers about the possibility of being able to deduct at least a part of the cost of the trip.

We can make alternative arrangements for spouses and others accompanying the group who might not be interested in the dentistry presentations -- there are a number of interesting things to do and see in "the heart of ancient Rus."

Estimated Cost:  $5,950 per person double occupancy

This fully escorted tour includes round-trip airfare from Chicago, Russian visa, all in-country transportation, lodging, three meals a day, guides and tours. Also included will be a "mobile phone" for each participant—which will greatly facilitate communication.  (This will include the ability to receive calls from the States.)

Personal spending money and gratuities are not included.
